BLUE
The "BLUE" project entailed a detailed coastal and maritime survey for the installation of a fiber optic cable connecting Israel to Europe. Gold Line Shipping LTD expertly managed the complex authorization processes involving the Ministry of Communications, Ministry of Defense, and Ministry of Transportation. Our responsibilities extended to coordinating liaison officers, provisioning for ships at sea, and liaising with the Israeli Navy and other regulatory bodies such as the Nature and Parks Authority. The project included crew changes, ongoing close monitoring, and regular updates with ASN and EGS, ensuring all operations aligned with stringent safety and regulatory standards. This project showcased our ability to navigate intricate logistics and regulatory landscapes, reinforcing our position as a leader in maritime and communication infrastructure projects.
ZPMC Cranes at Ashdod Port
The ZPMC project at Ashdod Port exemplified Gold Line Shipping LTD's comprehensive maritime and port logistics capabilities. Our role as the ship agent included overseeing the unloading of port cranes from ships, along with managing extensive port services. These services encompassed crane operations, security fencing, waste removal, provision of utilities, office setups, portable warehouses, and designated storage areas. We also facilitated accommodations for workers and handled their visa processes over a two-year period. This project highlighted our ability to manage complex logistical operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with all regulatory standards. Through this initiative, Gold Line Shipping demonstrated its prowess in integrating large-scale mechanical installations and workforce management within a bustling port environment.
MICOPERI: Ashdod and Ashkelon Gas Pipeline
The MICOPERI project centered around the strategic installation of maritime and terrestrial gas pipelines in the Ashdod and Ashkelon sectors. Gold Line Shipping LTD played a crucial role, managing communications and coordination with various authorities, including port administrations and the Israeli Navy, before and during the operations. Our tasks included handling multiple civilian vessels, facilitating crew changes, and ensuring timely supply chain management. This project demonstrated our expertise in managing complex logistical challenges under tight regulatory oversight, showcasing our capability to execute large-scale infrastructure projects efficiently.
DAFLOG: Gas Platform Handling and Storage
The DAFLOG project involved the handling, dismantling, and storage of a gas platform. Gold Line Shipping LTD managed comprehensive logistics, including secure storage areas, inventory management, and coordination of crane and transportation operations. We facilitated containerization and sea shipment options, ensuring secure and efficient handling processes. This project showcased our ability to manage critical infrastructure components with precision and safety, demonstrating our versatility in handling specialized logistics needs.
Intel Fab: Mega Units Import
The project involved transporting oversized units for Intel from Turkey to Israel, which required chartering a specialized vessel and managing complex land transportations in both Turkey and Israel. Gold Line Shipping LTD coordinated with multiple authorities including customs, traffic police, and port officials to ensure smooth execution. This multi-stage operation included road closures and the dismantling of traffic lights to accommodate the large transport. Our team handled all safety certifications and provided continuous escort to guarantee secure transit. Extensive documentation of the project will be uploaded to our project library, showcasing the intricate steps involved in this challenging logistics operation.
RHIB Engine Replacement
This project featured comprehensive engine updates and repairs for two RHIB boats, each equipped with two Yamaha 250hp engines with advanced features such as Electric Start with Power Trim + Tilt.
Our tasks included extracting the boats from the water, swapping out engines, and ensuring functionality through rigorous dry and wet tests. We also replaced critical components like impellers, plugs, and thermostats. Additionally, we repaired a damaged engine protector by removing broken screws, reshaping the frame in our workshop, and fitting new screws for enhanced durability. The meticulous process of disassembly, repair, and reassembly underscores Gold Line Shipping LTD's dedication to precision in maritime equipment maintenance.
Offshore Oil Drilling: Yam 3
The offshore oil drilling project at Ashdod Yam 3, undertaken with Caspian Drilling Company Ltd. and Atwood rig supply, showcased our logistical excellence over a six-month period. GLS provided extensive project services including vessel operations, local authorities' coordination, crew care, and supply of technical equipment and fuel. Our involvement covered everything from equipment delivery to managing logistics bases and handling all shipments. The success of this project has led us to continue serving foreign oil and gas companies in Israel, offering unparalleled logistic services and support.
Fiber Optic Cable Laying in the Mediterranean
Gold Line Shipping took part in a major project laying fiber-optic cables from Israel to Europe, enhancing communication capabilities significantly. Working with leading Israeli communications companies like Med Nautilus (Partner), Tamares, Telecom, and INTERNATIONAL BEZEQ, we managed all facets of the operation. Our responsibilities included securing authorities' approvals, coordinating complete vessel operations, and handling all logistics for the fiber-optic cables. Our effective coordination and operational support forged excellent relationships with all partners involved.
Desalination Plant - Sadyt
Our involvement with the desalination stations at Ashdod sea for Sadyt & Negocios Marinos del Mediterraneo SL and Mekorot Water Company Ltd. marked a significant contribution to establishing primary water treatment facilities in Israel. Our team expertly managed the logistics of importing hundreds of air and sea shipments from abroad, meticulously preparing the worksite to ensure timely and efficient delivery handling. Additionally, we coordinated all visa processing and accommodations for foreign workers, facilitating seamless integration and operations for these pivotal projects.
Navy and Defense Logistics

Afek Oil & Gas, a division of Genie Energy International, secured the license to drill onshore after winning the tender. Over two years, Gold Line Shipping LTD provided comprehensive logistics and supply services, collaborating closely with Viking Energy. Our involvement in such a significant national project demonstrated our capacity for managing complex operations, enhancing our reputation in the oil-drilling sector. Our teams' dedication to providing hands-on, daily support has made GLS a trusted partner in the industry.
Technip - Leviathan Project
Technip's Leviathan Project in the Mediterranean Sea exemplifies a monumental endeavor in natural gas extraction, positioned as Israel's largest energy infrastructure project to date. Located approximately 130 km west of Haifa's coastline, this massive natural gas field demanded rigorous marine logistics and support. Our team at GLS provided comprehensive marine services as a subcontractor for Technip Houston, covering everything from vessel coordination and regulatory updates to crew changes and emergency medical evacuations. The project's scale involved substantial private investment, amounting to over 12 billion NIS for the initial development phase alone. The construction of the natural gas treatment rig, a collaboration involving teams from twenty-four nations, was completed in 2019. It was meticulously positioned on the seabed using the world's largest marine crane, highlighting our commitment to excellence in managing complex offshore logistics.
